Ebay - February 3, 2006

This guy received the first negative feedback I ever gave out, and for very good reason. Only two months after I signed up for eBay, I found a listing for some anime’ tapes that a friend of mine wanted, so I bid on them. The tune was to $30 for three tapes, a good price back then.

After a long wait, I received the tapes, only to find that they were bootlegs, recorded straight from a laser disc. My friend didn’t want them, so I was stuck. I e-mailed the seller and told him I wasn’t too pleased with the deception. He informed me that I knew what I was getting, which was a good thing, too, since I was under the delusion I was buying legitimate product.

I later found out this seller had a couple of negative remarks about his bootlegging. Thankfully, he’s no longer registered.
